This page is a live-methodology data resource: every number below is extracted directly from our own event database, not estimated.

Methodology
Counts include every event-type page in our database with a confirmed or provisional start date on or after the pull date, across all regions and cities. "Free" means the event's own ticket data marks admission as free; paid events include everything from ¥600 museum tastings to ¥24,000 banquet-course dinners. We do not include events whose only source is an unverified single mention — see our editorial policy for our two-source verification standard.
