Background & story
Launched in 2010, it recreates an authentic German Weihnachtsmarkt before the preserved Meiji/Taisho-era red brick warehouses and is now one of Japan's most famous Christmas markets.

The 2026 Christmas Market in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse runs Friday 20 November to Friday 25 December 2026 — 36 days — at the Red Brick Warehouse Event Plaza and Red Brick Park. It is one of Japan's largest Christmas markets, built around wooden hutte stalls shipped from Germany, and drew about 1.21 million visitors in 2025 (counted from visitors to Red Brick Warehouse buildings 1 and 2). The 2026 theme is "Tsunagari" (connections) (organiser's announcement of 24 September 2026, checked 2026-10-13).

Entry and tickets
Entry starts from ¥500, and the price depends on the day and ticket type. There are three ticket types:
- Standard entry ticket
- Priority entry ticket — shorter wait at the gate; sold online only
- Priority entry ticket with Premium Mug — includes the Noritake Premium Mug

What to see in 2026
- An ~11 m live tree — the 2026 main tree is a live Sakhalin spruce (akaezomatsu), lit with about 20,000 LEDs, with light shows that change through the day. After Christmas it is chipped and returned to farmland as compost.
- Illumination roof and tunnel of light — a ~30 m illumination roof stretches overhead between the two warehouses, and a ~20 m tunnel of light leads from the entrance gate to the main area.
- Hutte stalls and German classics — wooden hutte shipped from Germany serve as food and craft stalls, with sausages and Glühwein.
- Souvenir mugs — the standard Original Mug comes in white and red with a "Christmas sky" theme for 2026. The Noritake Premium Mug is only for Premium Lounge guests, priority-ticket buyers and hotel-plan guests.
- Premium Lounge — private cabins facing the tree and Yokohama Port, limited to five.

New in 2026: on Wednesday 25 November, Yokohama residents get in free. Show ID with your current address (My Number card, driving licence, passport, a utility bill, etc.). Details are due in late October.

- Minatomirai Line — about 6 minutes on foot from Bashamichi or Nihon-odori Station.
- JR / municipal subway — about 15 minutes on foot from Sakuragicho Station via the Kishamichi promenade, or from Kannai Station.

From Sat 5 Dec the market stays open until 22:00 (last orders 21:30). The tree's light show changes through the day, so plan to stay until after dark.
