Background & story
Launched in 2016 with the support of the late Stan Lee, Tokyo Comic Con blends the global Comic Con format with Japanese pop culture.
Tokyo Comic Con 2026 runs Friday 11 – Sunday 13 December 2026 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, just outside Tokyo. It marks the 10th anniversary of the first show in 2016, themed "BEYOND". Advance single-day entry is ¥5,500 and the 3-day pass is ¥9,900. Eight celebrity acts are confirmed so far, including Nicolas Cage (his first Tokyo Comic Con) and Mads Mikkelsen (checked 2026-10-13).

- General admission has been on sale since 27 July 2026, 12:00 JST. Check sellers, age rules and the policy for young children on the official ticket page.
- Celebrity autograph and photo tickets are sold separately and still require an entry ticket. Sales opened in stages from 3 October; single-guest prices run from ¥23,000 (Giancarlo Esposito) to ¥34,000 (Nicolas Cage) (announced prices as of 2026-10-13).

Getting there
- About a 5-minute walk from Kaihin-Makuhari Station (JR Keiyō Line), roughly 30 minutes from Tokyo Station by rapid train.
- From Makuhari-Hongō Station (JR Sōbu / Keisei lines), take the bus bound for "Makuhari Messe Chūō" (about 17 minutes).
- By car: about 5 minutes from the Wangan-Narashino or Makuhari interchanges. Check Makuhari Messe's parking guide before you drive.

Before you go
- Cosplaying? You need a paid cosplay participation pass (free for primary-school age and under; valid one day, includes changing rooms and cloakroom) on top of your entry ticket, and you register at the cosplay desk on site. Fan goods alone, such as a hat, need no registration, but a cape or robe, headgear that hides your face, or any weapon or prop you bring does. In the celebrity area even a cape counts as cosplay and needs the pass. Rules and price: official cosplay page.
- Blades, bottles and cans, and alcohol are among the banned items.
- Lock in the autograph or photo slot you want online rather than hoping for one on the day.
