Background & story
Roppongi Hills has used LEDs for the Keyakizaka illumination since it opened in 2003. Marunouchi Illumination, one of the symbols of winter in Marunouchi, reaches its 25th edition in 2026 (Mori Building and Mitsubishi Estate announcements, checked 2026-10-13).

Roppongi Keyakizaka
About 970,000 white-and-blue "SNOW & BLUE" LEDs line the roughly 400 m Keyakizaka slope. Mori Building says hours may change depending on crowding. For photos, go to the areas near Emporio Armani and Roppongi Tsutaya Books on Keyakizaka-dori: from the top or bottom of the slope you can fit Tokyo Tower and the whole avenue of lights in one frame.
Oyane Plaza in the same complex also hosts a Christmas Market from 21 November to 25 December 2026 (official site: https://www.christmas.hills-site.com/).
Marunouchi Naka-dori
The 25th Marunouchi Illumination lights about 1.2 km of street trees along Marunouchi Naka-dori in champagne gold. In 2026, under the "MARUNOUCHI BRIGHT HOLIDAY" banner, Harry Potter-themed decorations join the Otemachi, Marunouchi and Yurakucho area (12 November to 25 December; some content excluded). The organisers will publish the lighting hours and details of the illuminations around Tokyo Station in late October (checked 2026-10-13).
