Background & story
A 30 km and 10 km road race that starts at Higashi-Ome 4-chome in Ome, western Tokyo, runs towards Okutama and turns back (the 30 km at Kawai, the 10 km at Hinatawada). 2027 is the 59th edition, organized by the City of Ome, Hochi Shimbun and others.
The Ome Marathon 2027 (the 59th edition) takes place on Sunday, February 21, 2027, in Ome, western Tokyo. The 10 km race starts at 9:30 a.m. and the 30 km race at 11:30 a.m. JST. General entry runs until 23:59 on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, first come, first served — but the 10 km general quota filled up on September 11, so the only general-entry race still open is the 30 km (¥12,000), and it also closes as soon as its 12,500 places are taken (checked 2026-10-14 against the official site, the official race outline and the City of Ome).
Despite the name, it is not a full marathon: the two main races are 30 km and 10 km.
