Nabana no Sato Illumination 2026–2027: Dates, Tickets & Christmas Days

Nabana no Sato's 2026–2027 illumination season runs from Saturday 17 October 2026 to Monday 31 May 2027, in Nagashima, Kuwana (Mie Prefecture), near Nagoya. The park is closed on 6 and 7 January 2027 (official illumination page, checked 2026-10-14).

Admission is ¥2,500 or ¥3,000 for a convenience-store advance ticket depending on the date, and every regular-period ticket includes a ¥1,000 park voucher and entry to the Begonia Garden. From 23 to 25 December the park opens only from 3pm, and you need a date-specific ticket.

As of 2026-10-14 the official site does not name a theme for this season's main display area. We will add it when it is announced.

Admission 2026–2027

• Every regular period in the table includes a ¥1,000 voucher and Begonia Garden entry. Children under elementary-school age are free.
• Except from 1 March to 31 May, the gate price is ¥200 higher. The official site asks visitors to get their ticket at a convenience store before they arrive (official hours and fees page, checked 2026-10-14).

23–25 December: Christmas special opening

• On all three days the park opens from 3pm only; there is no daytime opening.
• Entry requires a date-specific ticket, sold first come, first served in limited numbers, bought in advance at a convenience store.
• As of 2026-10-14 the official site lists the advance price of the date-specific ticket as "under consideration".
• Same-day tickets at the gate cost ¥5,500 and are sold only if any remain. They include a ¥2,000 voucher and Begonia Garden entry.

Highlights

• Tunnel of light: a 200-metre tunnel of lights.
• "River of Light" water illumination: the light display on the water that the park calls the symbol of its illumination.
• Flower light-ups: autumn leaves around late November to late December, weeping plum and Kawazu cherry around late February to late March, and tulips around late March to late April (official guide dates).

Getting there

• Train and bus: take the Kintetsu Nagoya Line to Kintetsu-Nagashima Station, then the direct bus to Nabana no Sato (about 10 minutes).
• Car: free parking for about 5,700 cars. The park asks visitors to use public transport where possible to ease local congestion (official access page).

Tips

• If driving, the park suggests arriving by 4pm on weekdays and 3pm on weekends and holidays to beat the traffic; arriving before the lights come on also gives you time to eat, use the hot spring or see the Begonia Garden.
• Prices go up on 21 November. For the lower ¥2,500 rate, go by 20 November or from March.
