由来・背景

Tanabata is the star festival of Orihime (the Weaver) and Hikoboshi (the Cowherd), who meet once a year across the Milky Way; Sendai's edition traces to Date Masamune in the early Edo period and, held in August by the old lunar calendar, is one of the Three Great Festivals of Tohoku.

The central arcades are a ~5-minute walk west of JR Sendai Station via the pedestrian deck. From Tokyo: Tohoku Shinkansen (Hayabusa) ~1h30m, one-way reserved ~¥11,000–11,600.　Googleマップでルート検索 ↗
