Universal Studios Japan's "NO LIMIT! COUNTDOWN 2027 ~Discover U!!!~" runs from 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2026 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2027 — up to 26 hours in the park. Entry requires a PARTY PASS (¥16,900 including tax, one price for all ages, free for children 3 and under). General sale opens around 21:00 JST on November 4, 2026, only if tickets remain after the pre-sales.

USJ notes that all times may change, and that weather or conditions on the day can move or cancel programs. The Special Stage features a DJ show built on music by Zedd from the "Space Fantasy – The Ride" collaboration, plus 25th-anniversary entertainment including Halloween acts.

All of these are "all ages" prices. Packages already include the PARTY PASS; only the Express Passes need a PARTY PASS on top. Everyone except children 3 and under needs their own ticket. Tickets cannot be cancelled or changed after purchase, cannot be upgraded to an annual pass, and resold tickets will not work at the gate. USJ says prices and contents may change without notice.
How to buy from overseas
The English and Chinese event pages link to ticket details marked "Japanese page only", so here is the sequence in plain English:
- Lawson Ticket first-come pre-sale — October 23 (Fri) 12:00 to November 3 (Tue) 23:59 JST, on the Lawson Ticket website only.
- General sale — from about 21:00 JST on November 4 (Wed) through the USJ Web Ticket Store, Lawson Ticket (web and in-store Loppi terminals) and USJ Official Hotels (some excluded; sold to staying guests only — the Sept 28 release says partner hotels). It happens only if tickets remain, and sales end once sold out.
- There are no ticket sales at the park entrance or on site.
If you plan to visit on December 31 or January 1 during the day
Regular Studio Passes for December 31 (opening to 5:00 p.m.) and January 1 (2:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.) are expected to go on sale as usual. But a December 31 Studio Pass only lets you stay until 5:00 p.m.; from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. the park is closed. You cannot simply stay on into the countdown — you need a PARTY PASS and re-enter from 7:00 p.m. A January 1 Studio Pass lets you in from 2:00 a.m.
Super Nintendo World closes temporarily
USJ says Super Nintendo World™ will close temporarily for maintenance during the event; during maintenance you cannot enter or ride (the hours are not published). Area entry tickets or lottery tickets are issued only in the official USJ app, and only once per person between 7:00 p.m. on December 31 and 9:00 p.m. on January 1. Other areas and rides may also pause for maintenance at times.
Watching the fireworks
The Countdown Moment is staged at the Lagoon, with pyrotechnics rising across the park, including Gramercy Park and the Lagoon. If you want a guaranteed close view, buy one of the viewing-area packages in the table above. USJ warns that, depending on the wind, debris or ash from the pyrotechnics may fall, and entry to some areas may be restricted when crowded.
