Background & story
The first edition in March 2012 drew 13,114 starters and was recognised by Guinness World Records as the world's largest women's marathon. It became a World Athletics Platinum Label race in November 2019.
Nagoya Women's Marathon 2027 takes place on Sunday, March 14, 2027, starting at 9:10 a.m. JST and finishing inside Vantelin Dome Nagoya. The domestic lottery closed on September 24 and its results were announced on October 2. For runners living outside Japan, the overseas entry is still the way in: it costs ¥25,000 and runs first come, first served until Friday, December 25, 2026, 23:59 JST, or until its 3,500 places fill (checked 2026-10-14 on the official English site).

Because the start and finish are inside a dome and the limit is 7 hours, the race is known as beginner-friendly: the official site gives a 96.6% finish rate for 2026.

- The overseas entry is for people living outside Japan and for anyone who wants to apply in English. All other categories (general lottery, charity, travel plan and so on) are for residents of Japan.
- An administrative fee is added at checkout. Packages that include accommodation are also offered.
- The window was extended to December 25 in an official notice on September 24. It closes early if the places run out, so check the official entry page before you plan.
- English enquiries go to the inquiry desk run by JTB Global Marketing & Travel (weekdays 10:00–17:00 JST); the address is on the official site.
The domestic general lottery (5,500 places, ¥19,000) closed on September 24, and results went out on October 2 through GO SPORTS WEB. The Elite entry (¥19,000) opens on December 1, 2026, at 12:00 JST for JAAF-registered athletes with a qualifying mark set since March 1, 2025 — for example a marathon under 3:00:00 or a half under 1:20:00.
The finisher gift: a Baccarat tumbler
According to the official site, everyone who finishes the 2027 race receives a Baccarat crystal tumbler in a red box, handed over at the finish by the "Omotenashi Tuxedo" team, and a New Balance finisher T-shirt whose design is revealed the day before the race (March 13). Searches for "Nagoya women's marathon Tiffany" come from the race's early years: press reports describe Tiffany pendants for finishers in 2012 and a Tiffany necklace in 2014. The official 2027 gift is the Baccarat tumbler.
Bib pickup and race weekend
- Bib pickup: Vantelin Dome Nagoya, Friday, March 12 (12:00–20:30) and Saturday, March 13 (10:00–19:30). No race-day pickup. Photo ID is checked and nobody can collect a bib for you.
- Course closing times (planned): 6.0 km at 10:30, half-way (21.5 km, Wakamiya-kita) at 12:52, 35.0 km at 14:59, 41.7 km at 16:05 and the finish at 16:10. Runners who fall far behind can be stopped anywhere on the course.
- Getting there: About 5 minutes on foot from Exit 1 of Nagoya Dome-mae Yada Station (Meijo subway line / Yutorito Line), or about 15 minutes from Ozone Station (JR Chuo Line / Meitetsu Seto Line), which is about 13 minutes from Nagoya Station by JR.
