Background & story
Held twice a year since 1975, Comiket is the heart of Japan's self-published 'doujin' culture and a pilgrimage for fans worldwide.
Good to know
Summer Comiket is brutally hot — bring water, a hand fan and cash (or an IC card). Wristbands go on sale July 11, 2026 through the event itself (Aug 16); the earlier lottery-only Early Entry and changing-room tickets sell out first, so decide before the wristband window if you want those.
