- About 10 minutes on foot from JR / Izukyu Ito Station to the Matsukawa. The course runs through the middle of the hot-spring district and can be watched from the riverside promenade. Open directions in Google Maps ↗

- Announcements are in Japanese, but the international race shows overseas entrants are expected. Spectating needs no Japanese.

温馨提示
Watch from the riverside promenade, which also takes you past the wooden Tokaikan. If you want to race, note that in 2026 the application window was about two weeks in early June, so check the official listing once June begins. Take care near the water's edge: the dam release raises the river on the day.
