Unlike a multipurpose arena, K-Arena Yokohama was designed only for music. Its steep, fan-shaped seating bowl is built around sightlines and sound, so even the back rows face the stage front-on — a big part of why it's marketed as one of the world's best-sounding large venues. It's a nine-storey building about 45 m tall that opened in 2023.

Address

6-2-2 Minatomirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa 220-0012 (〒220-0012 神奈川県横浜市西区みなとみらい6-2-2).

Getting there

  • Shin-Takashima Station (Minatomirai Line), Exit 4 — 5-minute walk
  • Yokohama Station (JR & multiple lines), East Exit — 9-minute walk
  • Minatomirai Station (Minatomirai Line), Exit 2 — 12-minute walk

From Tokyo (Shibuya), the Tōkyū Tōyoko Line runs through onto the Minatomirai Line straight to Shin-Takashima (no transfer, ~40 min). From Tokyo Station, take a JR line to Yokohama Station (~25–30 min), then it's a signposted 9-minute walk along the waterfront.

What's nearby

It's on the Minato Mirai 21 waterfront, wrapped by the open-air "Music Terrace." The Anpanman Children's Museum, Rinko Park, the Nissan global HQ and Yokohama Station's shops are all a short walk, so the area is easy to arrive early in and eat around before a show.
